Paying in faith is a counterclaim to show that as humans and children of God that we believe that God holds everything in his hands including our access to funding things, our plans and our lives.Often times we say we have faith but in the process we contradict what we really believe once we are faced with trials.
Jesus’ movement towards us is often motivated by our act FIRST. This moment of faith comes right before God is motivated to move on that situation that prompts us to obtain certain characteristics within ourselves that may be activated during this moment that you may have never known you had inside of you. Here are 3 important traits that are accessed in order to have faith.
3 Characteristics that Develop Faith:
1.Increases Trust and/ or Confidence
Matthew 17:20:So Jesus said to them,”Because of your unbelief;for assuredly,I say to you,if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,” Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Key Insight:Even when situations seem super impossible God has a way of showing us exactly who he is to make it all possible. In our ability to look at the situation knowing that what he said will come to pass shows that you trust what he has said in his word and having faith that it will manifest into something beyond what the naked eye can see.
Mark 11:23: For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Key Insight:Remember that God keeps his promises unlike man and that even the biggest or Golliath type situations are nothing compared to how big he is or what he is capable of doing. Also, be consistent in your thinking and be confident that he can do over and beyond all that we can ever ask for ( Ephesians 3:20 ).
2.Changes our Perspective
2 Corinthians 5:7: For we walk by faith, not by sight
Key Insight: We must not be so frazzled when what we “see” begins to look less than what we expected. If we follow God’s plans for our lives also in the midst of trial we will see great difficulty but we must look more at what he is doing in the process rather what is going on in the moment used to humble us etc.
Hebrews 11:1: For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
Key Insight: We don’t always see what God is doing in the background or what he can be saving us from but he is the creator and knows exactly what he is doing to keep us out of harms way.
3.Proposes action
Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Key Insight: When God proposes action as stated earlier in this blog post he wants us to make a move first and then he follows. If we never step out on faith and make that move we would never know what God wants to do to and through us once we have said yes with those minor or major steps of faith.
James 2:17:Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead
Key Insight: When you’re believing in God for something you must make sure that you are acting on that thing and not just allowing God to do all of the work. No matter how big or small that idea is as long as you make the proper steps in making it happen God will help you.
If you have ever been in a financially, emotionally or frustrated situation then this post is for you. If not, then you know someone who is dealing with this matter at this very moment.
