Feature: Level 7 T Shirt Depot

It’s Fashion Feature Friday ! I don’t usually do these but I am pleased to announce another feature here on my blog. In March, I had the pleasure of meeting the founders of Level 7 T Shirt Depot. With their creative style and uplifting t shirts they are sure to empower each person that they meet.

Follow the interview here as we catch up with Miriam, Co-creative founder of Level 7 T Shirt Depot.

Dainty Hanima: Who are the masterminds behind Level 7 Shirt Depot ?

Miriam (founder): The masterminds behind Level 7 T Shirt Depot  is myself( Miriam) and my  fiancé, Urshell (better known as Lester)

Dainty Hanima: Where did Level 7 Shirt Depot originate ?

Miriam(founder): It originated within in us, it doesn’t necessarily originate within a specific place. It is a basic representation of our union elevating to a place where creation is now alive. It was created when our union got to a place where we really allowed ourselves to create in  a fashionable way. We were always into fashion  and we were able to connect on a level in which we also engrained within our children. Once we got to that level where we knew where we both were as individuals and as a unit we were able to be what we needed to be for our family. That’s how the birth of our brand came about.

Dainty Hanima: How do you come up with the designs for each shirt ?

Miriam (founder): Me and my fiancé are very visual people and a lot of times when something pops into our heads we can already visualize the representation of what pops into our heads. For example, one of the shirts we have is called, Boss Chic and my fiancé actually came up with that one. We always talk about women out there who proclaim themselves to be the baddest boss and he asked me while were scrolling through Facebook and we saw some things of a girl who says she is a boss.He asked me was I a boss and what makes me a boss. It’s more that running your own business it’s a state of consciousness of feeling beautiful, sexy, complete, confident, and radiant. It’s a feeling of all of these things and in a way in which we can be proud of. It’s not something that you necessarily have to be cocky about but we say women like to use make up as an enhancement and to add to our natural beauty so we just said ley’s put some lipstick within the design and that’s how my explanation of what Boss Chic means to me. That’s an example of the process of something like that being created.

Dainty Hanima: What other shows  have you done this year ?

Miriam (founder): This year we did our own private pop up shop and we did another one with the most popular web series right now, Money and Violence . We had some of the cast and directors here at our pop up shop in New York City and it was actually great. Right now we are building up our winter collection and we are getting ready to launch that and have another pop up shop before the year is over. Also, we released a song called Level 7 Melody on iTunes in promotion for the clothing brand. We will actually be releasing the video sometime in December of this year for it.

Dainty Hanima: Who is your Target market ?

Miriam (founder): Our target market is pretty much from teens and young adults. The whole thing behind our brand is strong powerful designs with empowering verbage. What we wanted to do is empower the young generation coming up in a fashionable way. You have to grab them at a different angle. If you give them something and they feel that they can wear it as a fashionable teen and they can wear it with their sneakers and it says something strong. One of our teen boys shirts is “Young and free”.We also have a collegiate young women’s line with a shirt that says, “Can you cater to my heart” and it has all of the things such as honesty, stability. A lot of things that young women tend to forget is the core thing that we are told. We try to deliver some sort of message on our shirts. One of the popular shirts right now is Stand Your Ground and it is an amazing shirt with words that are just as strong as the graphics. Our strong target market is really from age 11 to early 30’s.

Dainty Hanima: What’s the next step for Level 7 T Shirt Depot ?

Miriam (founder):We are actually going to be opening the first t shirt depot in Atlanta. It will be a t shirt store with sizes ranging from newborns to adults. Right now we are the only brand in the store but we will be looking at different popular shirt brands that fit with what Level 7 stands for.
